Welcome to the IASA SECURITY ARCHITECTURE COURSE! This course is designed for security professionals who want to develop the architectural skills needed to be successful in information security. The course focuses on the business and communication skills that are essential for security architects, in addition to the technical knowledge that security professionals already have.
The candidate to make the most use out of this class will have an existing background in the information security space, including potentially having been responsible for designing and deploying a feature or product in the past.
This course specifically looks to improve the students understanding and skills in the following BTABoK Competency Areas.
The successful candidate for this class will add to a solid technical foundation equivalent to a professional level of certification in security products or disciplines. They need not have, but may already have achieved programs like the CISM, CISSP, or a professional level certificate from a vendor like Microsoft or Amazon.
The security industry has a variety of sources for the state of practice in a given technology domain and/or obligations for an organization to undertake. Entire industry bodies are dedicated to the education, evaluation, and broad-based publishing of security approaches for business.
